This
centerpiece/placemat/whatever was inspired by a project on the Pfaff
site although I changed mine quite a bit.
The leaves under the flower are stitched on the organdy fabric. I stitched
the rest of the flower on two layers of organza so it would be 2 dimensional.
I used a stencil burner to burn away the excess organza and seal the
edges of the design. I stitched it to the organdy over the leaves right
in the center of the flower. This made it look like it was just laying
there.
The other leaves were done or organza the same way and I stitched that
to the organdy by stitching down a few of the veins so it wouldn't be
noticeable.
I then laid Xmas red fabric under the organdy and did the entredeux stitching
and then cut away the red from the backside of the center and the loops.
I zigzagged some pearl cotton over the outer lines of the centerpiece
and then used a satin stitch over that to give it a nice finish.
The designs were sample designs I downloaded about 5 years ago and have
no idea where I got them.
