Embird Iconizer problem

Some people have problems with the Iconizer not showing the pictures in the Explorer after an Embird update or after installing some new software.

This is the way I fix the problem.

I open Embird and I click on "options, Iconizer settings" and in the top window, I uncheck everything I don't want to open with Embird when double clicking on a design in the "explorer".

Under the bottom window, I click on "select all" and uncheck the barudan.dat file and click on OK.

On the right side of the screen, I click the second hollow box (preview files) under the "files".

Choosing this second box expands the list of files and enables the pictures to show up in front of designs in the explorer or on this particular screen. The first hollow box will shorten the list and if you check it only, the pictures will not show up.

Remember that in Embird, you are actually viewing the “explorer”. When you use the Viking programs to find a design, you are also viewing the “explorer”

I want to make sure that my 3D program will open when I double click on a design in the explorer.

To check that out, right click on “start”and click on “explore”. This opens the “explorer.

Click on "tools, folder options, file types”. Scroll down to find the HUS format and click on it and see what program it says to "open with". Mine says 3D Embroidery.

If yours says Embird, but you really don’t want that, then click on “change”and choose the 3D Embroidery and click Ok as often as needed to get back out.

Then check the SHV, VIP and VP3 and make those changes the same way.

I want to make sure all of these settings will hold, so I close down all programs and then shut the computer down. Bring it back up again and see if your Iconizer is working in the “explorer”.
